Do you work outside the harbour we are in?

Yes. Most jobs start with a site visit at low water, wherever the site is.

What does a mooring survey cover?

Sinker positions, chain condition at the bed, and the holding ground under each. Where the field allows, all of it on one tide.

Can you inspect without lifting the structure?

Usually. A dive inspection reads the structure in place and we say so if it needs to come out.

Who is on site?

A small team: a surveyor or dive supervisor, the divers, and a boat hand. The person you speak to is on the boat.

What do we get at the end?

A written report with drawings and photographs, and a recommendation you can act on or put out to tender.

VisitorWe have a trot mooring that dragged in the last blow. Can someone look at it?

AssistantYes. Send the position and the chain age if you know it. We book a dive inspection on the next workable tide and reply with a report.

VisitorThe position is in the harbour log. Next week works for us.
